This is a dwarf evergreen shrub with an upright growth habit and spreading branches that form a dense, round bush.
It has shiny dark green foliage with subtly perfumed white flowers which appear in Winter and Spring. Blue-black berries appear in Summer following flowering.

Grows well from sub-tropics to cooler regions, in protected coastal positions and inland. Tolerates strong winds, heat and frosts.

Prune after flowering in late Spring and remove berries to promote good flowering the following year.
